Conflict/Tension/Intrigue/Drama/Romance: (all as applicable)

Main thread - believable? Adequately resolve or portrayed?

Any additional thread? If yes, does it add or take away from the main story line?

Steady flow across the story? Keeping me interested? Anything that make a reader cringe or feel uncomfortable?

Characters: Main character(s) believable? Consistent? Can you visualize them? Evolving? Interactions?

Supporting characters – their role?

Like them? Don’t like them?

Setting: Do I 'see' the

place in relation to the

story

Dialogue: Natural? Stilted, forced, two-dimensional? Too much? Too little? Consistent? Appropriate for the storyline/character – format and tone? Tense consistent? Distinguishable between characters? Confusing? Anything that made me cringe or feel uncomfortable? Over use of common words.

Overall: Was the story interesting? Satisfied with the overall story & ending. Strengths, weaknesses, inconstancies – characters, details, plot holes. What parts resonated-emotionally/annoyed/frustrated.

Ending: Predictable? Satisfying? Believable? Did it tie together the different elements of the story?
